Blockchain & Social Good - Delivering Truth and Trust for Public Legal Services

Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) is a publicly funded non-profit corporation that provides legal services to approximately one million Ontarian’s each year. These services are for the most vulnerable within society and include family, domestic violence, refugee, immigration, and criminal legal services. LAO has identified a strategic technology benefit in the adoption of Blockchain and AI within its IT Strategy for enhancing legal services to the public.
This strategic technology direction is consistent with the Ontario Government's directives on the consideration for using Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence as a means for enabling improved public services and access.
This presentation and discussion will focus on how organizations can use blockchain and artificial intelligence as a means for:

  • Accelerating their corporate strategy through a responsive information technology strategy
  • Moving from traditional digital transactional services towards predictive audited and transformational services
  • Creating a culture of digital innovators through capacity aligned research and development
  • Blockchain and AI use case and prototypes
